A Different Kind of Story
Dentsu London created an amazing project using 3D modeling, photography, and an iPad. The video does a better job explaining the project than I can with words, but it's an interesting way to tell a story using LCD screens as a medium to paint light into real spaces. Check it out:

Amazing indeed! I love the emphasis on temporality. The story is told, displayed, hangs on the moment, and then is gone. Refreshing lack of interest in permanence as the interactions between LED projection and space unfold!
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this video!
It's amazing how this doesn't convert singular moments into a moving image, but takes those singular moments of time and stretches them out into significant lengths of time, freezes those spans of time, then animates those into a moving image, thus illuminating that actual stop motion isn't working with singular moments, but exceptionally short lengths of time.
